Aurora's Adventures: The Bard and the Beanstalk

The beauteous bard called to the small stalk, wishing it to grow. It grew and grew until it was wider than trees, taller than mountains. A light began pulsing in the heavens, moving with the beat of the bard's call. As she finished her song, a fire giant flew down from the heavens, angered at being called unexpectedly.

The bard knew what to do. She flew up to meet the flaming beast, to tame the fires of the sky. She slashed and stabbed it while it descended upon the world below. It landed on the world with a crashed, and the siren fell upon it. Hacking at its feet and ankles, the beauteous bard struggled to tame this beast. The battle was tiring, but the bard walked out unscathed- the flames extinguished.

She knew that more trouble lurked in the light above her stalk, and she once again flew into the air to meet whatever fate awaited her. But the heavens did not want to cough up their prizes yet. In a desperate attempt to extinguish whatever awaited her above, she flung a fireball into the light- and the light replied!

With a thunderous bang, three giants of storm came upon her. Even in the face of such foes, her resolve did not waiver; her courage grew. She flung an axe down to the world below, and it sheathed itself deep in the base of her magnificent beanstalk. Chin held high, the siren flung spell after spell at the tempest of giants, causing them near fatal injuries.

The cowards knew they could not defeat the siren, and fled back into the light of the clouds. She watched the cowards flee, but could not give chase- the light was going out. Her axe had brought down the stalk with a single blow, and the stalk was what created the light.

She returned to ground triumphant, having saved the world from the flames and tempest of the sky. The bard was crowned a champion and hero- a greater giant slayer than Jack!
